Motion Incorporated has five full-time employees who provide production and post-production services along with administrative support.
Glenn Orkin:
Glenn has been with Motion, Inc. since 1983. Not only is he co-owner, but he is also a seasoned director and editor. Over the years he has worked on literally hundreds of programs for our clients, and recently won a Regional Emmy for his documentary about Alzheimer's Disease 'Facing the Facts.' There is literally nothing that happens at Motion Inc. that Glenn doesn't have his hand on in some way. Our clients needs are his top priority, and making them laugh and have a good time when they pay us a visit is second! When he isn't steering the Motion Inc. ship, you might find Glenn in Germany working on his next documentary, or spending the afternoon with his wife Nancy visiting their son, Eli, in Boston or daughter, Sarah, in NYC.
Ed McKeon:
Ed has worked in television production for over 25 years as a writer, producer and director. He has managed two corporate television facilities, and has created print and video for a number of clients while a freelancer. At Motion, Ed shares his years of creative experience with every client who walks in the door. In addition to his work at Motion, Inc., he regularly teaches film courses at Trinity College in Hartford. When he isn't filmmaking or teaching others how to do so, you will often find him blogging or sharing his latest musical discovery on his popular radio show. Ed loves live music, microbrews and barbecue in its infinite varieties and spending time with his wife, Lucy, and twin boys, Aidan & Dermot.
Todd Sanderson:
Before Motion Inc. Todd worked on feature film sets in nearly every department, and over time learned that his passion is, really, in the edit room. Here at Motion Inc. Todd is our senior editor. You will often find him coming up with an innovative new way to use a client's footage, creating a cool new animation in After Effects, and simultaneously editing a rough cut for one of our clients. He is nearly always doing multiple things at once, but you'd never know it because he always has a smile on his face. Our clients adore him, and, well, so do we. When he isn't rocking our world with his mad editing skills, you will find him scoring goals for his hockey team, rooting for his favorite football team (New England Patriots!), or spending time with his wife, Beth, and daughter, Audrey.
Paul Nelson:
Before Motion Inc. Paul worked behind the lens at a commercial photography studio and in IT for 5 years during the technology boom. Here at Motion Inc. Paul is our Swiss Army knife and DP. One day you will find him on the road shooting, the next he'll be authoring a DVD or designing a website. Paul is a valuable asset when it comes to shooting, editing, digital media, and resolving technical issues. As a matter of fact, Paul designed this website. When he isn't acting as our jack of all trades, you might find him trekking through the woods with his GPS, shooting projects with other local filmmakers, or playing guitar in his band.
Crystal Place:
Before Motion Inc. Crystal worked in the Boston advertising world at Arnold Worldwide and Digitas, making TV spots and videos for McDonald's and General Motors. She enjoyed her time on the 'agency side' but knew the 'production-side' was where she belonged. That's when we snatched her up. Here at Motion Inc., Crystal is a Producer/Director, and has produced and directed projects for companies like Travelers, The Channing Bete Company and Celebration Foods, to name a few. When she isn't on-set or running around the studio shoeless, you might find her directing her own short films, traveling abroad, cooking a new tofu-chocolate dessert, or swing dancing (Lindy-hoppin' to be precise).
